Schoeman Enterprises is a hands-on company that keeps the homeowner informed every step of the way. They are honest, trustworthy, and can be counted on to do exactly what they say they will do. We are totally delighted with our new bathroom. The results are beautiful. A++ and 5 stars to Schoeman.

When seeking a home improvement contractor, I completed due diligence by checking licensure and complaint history. I was incredibly pleased with the selection of Schoeman Construction to complete my home renovation work that consisted of new flooring, tub to shower conversion, alterations to the kitchen island and new countertops. Referrals were made to vendors for selection of flooring and bath tiles, countertops, and fixtures. Schoeman Construction completed all work professionally with invaluable assistance provided through their expertise in construction design.

Abel Schoeman and Hennie Schoeman Jr. completely renovated all 3 of our bathrooms and we could not be more pleased! They are not only great contractors but they are great people. The Schoeman's are professional, trustworthy, caring, and courteous. They included us in every decision and never took short cuts. Everything was done "the right way". They also completed many other jobs around the house. Abel and Hennie Jr. installed shiplap on walls, installed new ceiling fans and completed trim work, among other things. They never said no to me (Ha Ha). I felt very safe being in my home while they worked and even leaving them in the home when we were away. Their employee, Tien, is also fantastic. The guys would complete their work and Tien would come in and work his magic to finish everything. We also used all of their recommendations for suppliers - countertops, tile, plumbing, cabinets, glass, etc. Everything turned out wonderful and exceeded our expectations. I will call them again if I thing of ANYTHING else I want to do to my home!!

We had an amazing 10/10!! experience with Schoeman Enterprises with our master bathroom remodel! From the first day of the quick and neat demo to the final days of the immaculate painting, the team was efficient, professional, and detail-oriented. The quality of all work was outstanding! I love all of our tile work!! the electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting were all done beautifully. Daily communication was excellent, that sets them far above many!! So thankful for the thoughtful time that was spent with us to refine every final decisions until everything felt and looked just right. We love every detail of our beautiful bathroom. We made the right choice in deciding on Schoeman Construction for our laundry and scullery remodel! These rooms were 35 years old and receiving their first facelifts! The Schoemans were so helpful in planning and guiding us toward products needed. The communication was top notch, and their punctuality was so appreciated. We knew immediately that not only were these guys so knowledgeable and professional, but we also felt so comfortable having them come and go even while we were not at home. I love the way these rooms turned out! I have included a picture of an ingenious disguise of my washer plumbing! I wanted to hide the unsightly handles but have it accessible if the water ever needed to be turned off to the washer. I had a vision of how to do this and the Schoemans made it happen! It's not easy to hear an idea and then turn it into a reality but they did it! I would not hesitate to have Schoeman Construction take the helm of any future projects we want to do!

Schoeman Construction remodeled our bathroom 3 years ago. Our bathroom turned out magnificently with an extra-large walk-in white and gray shower, off-set by beautiful hand-crafted gray bathroom cabinets. So when we decided to remodel our kitchen, Schoeman Construction was the only contractor we considered. We knew we would receive the highest quality workmanship from a dependable, family-owned, trustworthy company. From the beginning to the end of our kitchen remodel, we were updated on the work completed that day, provided projected plans for the following day, and given time for questions and answers. Based on their many years of experience, Hennie and sons Abel and Hennie Jr., had a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I was reluctant to give up my tiered countertop for a flat countertop. Hennie Sr. discussed the differences in appearance, size, and functionality between the tiered and flat designs. I was so happy that I chose the flat countertop. It gave me more counter space, enhanced the kitchen size, and accentuated the entire kitchen. Our kitchen had a small, odd shaped area that we were at a loss on how to adapt to our new kitchen. Abel had exceptional creativity and design skills. He created an eye-catching nook that provided extra counter space and a unique upper shelf with under the shelf lighting. The nook fit perfectly and gave the impression that it was planned in the original design. We were totally pleased with our kitchen and will choose Schoeman Construction for any future remodeling plans. We highly recommend Hennie and sons for your next home remodeling project.

This is the second time I have used Hennie. Ten years ago, Schoeman Construction replaced my bathroom, and it still looks new. The tile work is beautiful. After shopping around with various contractors to replace my kitchen, I decided to go with Schoeman Construction again, because I knew it would be done to perfection and on schedule. Despite the interruption of two hurricanes, five days without power, and a change order I requested, Schoeman Construction was always moving forward when possible. The kitchen looks beautiful, and the cabinets are much more spacious than off-the-shelf cabinets and by far better quality. In addition, Hennie was able to save my quartz countertops which saved a lot of money.

We selected Schoeman Construction to completely renovate our master bathroom. We were impressed with them from the first time we called, because they actually answered the phone! They always promptly responded when we contacted them for any reason. This is the kind of customer service that is seldom found any more. Our master bathroom was completely torn out and re-done, and we received an estimate for every part of the project before the construction started. This is a very dependable, family-owned and operated local business, and all of their workers are reliable, highly skilled, long-term employees. They have all the necessary vendors available for you to select the granite, tile, fixtures, or anything else needed, but you can also buy anything you like, from anywhere, and they will install. We had a totally new, walk-in shower and a bathtub installed, which involved moving some of the plumbing. We also had them remove and replace all of the existing, ceramic floor and wall tile in the bathroom and the adjoining closet area, and install a new toilet, granite-topped vanity and landscape mirror in the bathroom, and also had the room re-painted. In addition, they also installed a new, exterior door, new window sills inside, replacing old wood in the walls, and built new sills for the outside windows. We also had them install two new hot waters heaters. This project took a few months, but the level of workmanship is outstanding, and the room is now beautiful, besides being outfitted with the safety features of non-slip floor tile and grab bars. A member of the Schoeman team always let us know when the workers would be coming, and they always arrived when they said they would. We highly commend Schoeman Construction for their reliability and the quality of the work they do, and would definitely recommend them!

I highly recommend Schoeman Construction. Both Hennie and Abel were a pleasure to work with and I was continually impressed with the attention to detail, quality of work, and how smooth the entire process went. We had them do a full condo remodel (kitchen, 2 bathrooms, bedroom floors, moved walls to create larger closets, new lighting/electrical, etc) and the final result is amazing. We were out of town during the entire project and Abel did a great job of communicating all the details, always getting our input via pictures/videos, working with the condo staff and making sure that everything was in order. On my visits to Tampa, I had a chance to meet the pros working on the unit and always had a good experience and impression of everyone involved in the Schoeman team. I have worked with many contractors in the past and Schoeman Construction was by far the best experience. I would trust them with any future project I may have.

Hennie did a fantastic job on my mom's addition to our house. They added an apartment on the top of our garage including an elevator. Everyone is so amazed at the craftmanship and now call it the "Presidential Suite"

We had Schoeman Construction do a major kitchen remodel this year (2023). Everyone on their staff was knowledgeable, professional and great to have in our home. They handled almost every aspect of the remodel and when they had to have a subcontractor come in, they were also just as professional and pleasant. There were understandably some hiccups which happens, but the issues were addressed and fixed to everyone's satisfaction. They will give you as much or as little input as you want/need to make your vision a reality. It's nice to have a contractor that takes pride in their work, making sure it is as perfect as it can possibly be and are also a company filled with genuinely nice people who also care and what things to be just what you wanted. Schoeman Construction was amazing = Highly recommend! They did a full master bathroom remodel for us. Kept open communication throughout the whole project, made great suggestions for products and design ideas, provided a quote for everything up front and even allowed us to purchase our own products (flooring, light fixtures, etc.) and just removed the cost from their original quote. They run an honest business (which seems hard to find these days), very friendly workers and cleaned up after themselves every day they were here. This is our third project with this family-run business and they are the only people we would trust to be in our home for an extended project. We recently had a pocket door installed in our laundry room by Schoeman Construction. The team was amazing in every way! We love our finished product! Everyone who had a part in the process was professional, focused on excellent craftsmanship, kind, and orderly. They cleaned up after every day's work and made sure we were happy with the process. We were extremely pleased with the kitchen remodeling and flooring project done by Schoeman Enterprises, a longtime family business with a team of skilled professionals. They helped us design a kitchen we love, kept within the agreed budget, found solutions to complex problems,and delivered high quality craftsmanship in all aspects. Importantly, they completed all work within the contracted 9 week schedule, with team members onsite every day. There were no delays awaiting materials. And, when a minor issue occurred after completion, they showed up the next day and fixed the problem—they stand behind their work!

Responsible, reliable & respectful is how I would describe this amazing team. The workmanship was expert level. All of the subcontractors were well coordinated, knowledgeable and polite. It was just a great and easy experience. I wasn’t chasing anyone down to find out what happens next or when they would be back. It’s a blessing when you can find someone who values their reputation and puts customer service first. Very thankful I found them, and my new shower and bidet washlet looks great!

This bathroom renovation was an unfulfilled wish for 20 years; when Hennie came over to initiate the process, he could see my vision as I told him what I wanted. As the project proceeded, some things had to be modified, but his team of experts and artists, believed they could still deliver my vision -- slightly renovated. I trusted each team of professionals as they kept me apprised of the progress. To watch this ugly duckling bathroom morph every day was to see my dream coming true. My new, spa-like bathroom is my happy place, a peaceful retreat, and many times during the day, I will just stand in the doorway admiring the gleaming tiles, the perfect bathtub, a toilet that works and a sink with both hot and cold running water! Many times during this process I wanted to cry tears of joy as each step/goal for the day was achieved. And in the end, I cry for joy that the long-awaited dream has come true. Schoeman Construction recently completed our full bathroom renovation. Following demolition, they relocated plumbing, built a new shower and installed a vanity, linen cabinet, custom wall niche, mirrors, lighting and tile. We are very pleased with the finished product. The plumber, electrician, painters and tile installers were all experienced professionals and their workmanship was outstanding. The Schoemans helped us make decisions and kept us informed at every stage of the process. There were no surprises. We love our newly remade bathroom! The Schoeman Construction team did a wonderful job taking our old outdated bathroom down to the studs and giving us an up-to-date and beautiful facility. Everyone was exceptionally easy to work with and very friendly. In particular, Almir, the gentleman who did all of the non-tiling work, was terrific. Hennie has seen it all and wasn’t surprised by anything our 98 year old house presented. And Abel did a great job keeping us in the loop of the daily workflow. The suppliers that they recommended, ProSource, Hydrologic, and Ray’s Custom Granite were knowledgeable and professional. They made it easy for us to make our choices in tile and fixtures. The one downside to our project was how long it took to do the work. Ten weeks is a long time. Admittedly, a small room like our bathroom meant that only one person could work in it at a time. We would choose to work with the Schoeman team again, without hesitation. They were that good.

Wow! That’s the first word that comes to mind when I walk in my boys bathroom everyday. Schoeman Enterprises remodeled our boys bathroom and completely blew us away with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Every inch of the remodel was done with such precision and care. Each specialist that came out to paint, tile, plumb, wire, lay tile etc was so trustworthy and kind. We felt completely at ease allowing each one into our home. 5 plus stars for Hennie and family they did a great job, communication and customer service is key and they were always on time and always communicated via text, email and phone calls, never had to wait to hear from them. Today contractors don’t return your calls and sometimes don’t even show up. Almir did an awesome job, was very attentive to the smallest detail and never room short cuts. Highly recommended.

I purchased metal 3D tiles that I wanted installed on my fireplace wall (floor to ceiling) - not an easy task considering the complexity of the tiles. It was a complicated job that would require a skilled professional installer with a strong attention to detail. Hennie and his son Abel met with me to get a full understanding of my vision. They were on top of every detail of the job from start to finish. The entire team was courteous, professional, meticulous, hard-working and really cared about the customer (me) and the end result. Kevin did tear out and install of the wood flooring, and Etni & Abner did tile installation - all top notch professionals. The job took just under two weeks and they worked diligently to get it done. I highly recommend Schoeman Construction for your remodeling/construction needs.

Everything went very smoothly from time of original quote to completed installation. Hennie was extremely value- adding, providing many design ideas for our remodel and his price was very competitive. The installers were meticulous with all the work, engaging us along every step of the work, and cleaned up after every day's work. They kept to schedule and were very attentive to everything. Very professional and very friendly. The suppliers they suggested for tile and bathroom hardware were also very professional, easy to work with, and gave us many helpful suggestions. I would certainly recommend Schoeman Construction for any bathroom remodel.

Being able to trust your contractor while you are living in another state is critically important. We were so fortunate to have found Schoeman Construction after reading many reviews. Once you have met Hennie, Abel, and the team, you realize they are the real deal! We couldn't have made a better choice with our condo renovation. Please understand this was all done during COVID conditions. Our neighbors rave about how polite, clean, respectful and helpful Hennie and the team were throughout the project. Schoeman Construction did an AMAZING job remodeling our home. We are so pleased with the entire project, we couldn't be happier. And the Schoeman Team is absolutely wonderful. They treat your home as if it were their own. Cleaning up after everyday, making sure everything they do is PERFECT and to your liking. We are satisfied with our tub/shower conversion to a walk in shower. The tiles are laid precisely and look amazing. The workers were polite and very neat. They would keep me informed on their arrival time or when they were going to be late. I am however not satisfied with the sale getting lost in translation between Hennie Schoeman Sr and Hennie Schoeman Jr. The first conversation we had with Hennie Sr- He made a promise that my father would have less of a risk of slipping or falling in the shower. He said we would have slip resistant tile on the floor. The floor is regular 2x2 white tile with grey grout. When I asked Hennie Jr about it being slip resistant; he said that the grout made it slip resistant. Well... it doesn’t. The floor is very slippery. I tried to resolve the situation with Hennie Sr, but he wanted to charge us an additional $580 - $600 to lay slip resistant tile on top of the 2x2 tiles that were installed. Sadly we settled on a plastic mat that they gave us. I did have to get some other promises corrected before they were installed- the soft close toilet seat - the Delta Chrome sink faucet. Lastly the grout was supposed to be silver, instead it is a disappointing grey. “I promise to do my very best to earn your business” was stated in our estimate. I do not think they did their “very best”.

Schoeman Construction really is the best! We had a very positive experience working with them on our remodel project. We were very impressed with them from the initial encounter, and throughout the entire project. Their level of communication was the most impressive thing to me. They ALWAYS show up when expected and do what they say they are going to do, and they do it very well. Their entire team is a pleasure to work with and have in your home during a stressful time like a remodel. My kids were even excited to get home from school and chat with some of their favorite workers! Our project was pretty complex in the fact that there were many different things going on at once. Abel and Hennie did a great job listening to us, and being patient with us along the way as we made many changes and decisions Their talented team did a great job making our vision come to life! I highly recommend Schoeman Construction, they will not disappoint.

Hennie and Abel really helped us realize our dream kitchen. We set out to get 2 or 3 quotes from Angie’s List type A rated contractors and ended up with 5, including some referrals from others. Schoeman was our first meeting and quote, and none of the subsequent others lived up to our first meeting with Hennie and Abel. Before the quote, we all discussed scope of work, timing and exchanged ideas. In a very timely manner, they delivered a thorough estimate with clear explanations and reasonable allowances that met our needs. They really listened to our ideas (cannot say the same for some of the others who just wanted to build “their” kitchen), always providing insight with their guidance. Once we committed, we had a pleasant follow up meeting to discuss specifics, lay out the cabinet design, job timing and payment schedule. We greatly appreciated the complete job perspective and always left discussions with clear expectations. Communication is the most important part of a project like this and they clearly deserve an A+ on this. Once the job began, we really saw their value. Every craftsman from their crew was pleasant and courteous and overly organized, and I cannot express how important that was based on horror stories we heard from others undergoing a project like this. Just as important as the project itself, was how comfortable we were with their long-term, tenured team members (in most cases, more than 10 years working together). We truly enjoyed having every member in our house, and we cannot say the same for other projects we have done. They removed walls, raised our ceiling, trenched our floor for electrical and plumbing, and all with minimal to no disruption and dust, and during the beginning of a pandemic! They worked with us during the worst part of the pandemic completing the job on time and we are very grateful for all of their effort. Our kitchen is truly a dream come true, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We consider them friends now, and I’m unsure how many folks can say that after a project like this in best of times, let alone during these crazy times. I am very happy with the work done by Schoeman Enterprises. The work performed was outstanding, and the process was straightforward. Schoeman Enterprises is the company you want to use when you don't want your remodel project to be a headache. The workers were all exceptional, prompt and polite. I appreciated that Hennie and Abel came by every few days to check on the work, but they were rarely needed. A+ all around, and I will hire them again for my next project.

Where do I start to describe our experience with this business? “Expectations exceeded.” I will briefly describe our journey with this family. Consultation with Hennie Sr. - knowledgeable and experienced, extremely personable. We had specific wants, Hennie helped conceptualize what would be involved and how to improve on our vision. He returned in a timely manner with a detailed blueprint for our master bathroom, along with an itemized material and labor list. Through the entire process, the original blueprint and pricing has held to be accurate. Dates were set; our renovation began and ended on schedule. Demolition was CLEAN - our house was not affected by the demo. Mats were laid and stored daily for the path of the workers. The workspace was swept and tidied daily so that we could see what had been completed that day. Any questions or concerns were discussed at length. This team keeps all parties well informed in prompt fashion. Workers were present on-time everyday they were scheduled, putting in full work days. The skill and effort that was put in to our bathroom really shines through with the finished product. You can see the finished product in the pictures. My wife and I LOVE our new bathroom. By the time our bathroom was completed, my wife and I actually missed having these guys in the house. That says a lot. Each and everyone that passed through our front door had a good personality and we felt comfortable with them being in the house. Special thanks to Charlie, Almir, and Hennie Jr. Charlie absolutely blew my mind with the detailed precision and quality of the tile installation. Kudos to him for still having me rave about that feat (our original walls were quite uneven with the new dry wall). What more can I say? This team has it all.
